
Joshua Pierre | Legislator James F. Mazzarella's Honoree
Joshua Pierre is a resident of Shirley and a first generation Haitian American. He is currently employed at Arkwin Industries in Westbury where he performs non-destructive testing for the aerospace industry. Joshua serves as a Deacon on the Board at Focus Church in Shirley where he also volunteers as a youth leader. With Focus Church he helped to organize an initiative known as Feed the Hope for the past 3 years. The first 2 years they successfully fed around 500 families and this past year they fed just over 750 families with 60,000lbs of food. Joshua serves as a community ambassador that reports to the Suffolk Community Police Commissioner Rodney Harris. In this role he serves as a liaison to the community and the Suffolk County Police Department to address public safety concerns throughout the county. Joshua also serves on an advisory board for the SCPD 7th precinct, helping to address public safety issues within the jurisdiction of the 7th precinct. Joshua is married to his wife Rosemary and together they have 3 children.
