Legislator Tom Donnelly is pleased to select Lamont C. Wilson, Jr. of Deer Park as his 2023 Diversity Champion. Mr. Wilson was born and raised in Rhode Island and moved to Brentwood, NY in 1980 where he met his wife Patricia. After getting married, they moved to Deer Park 35 years ago where they raised their three children.

Mr. Wilson is an active and vital member of the community who is known for bringing people of different backgrounds, experiences and ideas together for the betterment of all. He advocates on issues from public safety and traffic to beautification to civic responsibility and has never turned down a request for help. He is known throughout the neighborhood as the person to turn to when you need something done. A founding member of the South East Concerned Civic Association, a Youth Board member and Executive Director of Concerned Citizens of Deer Park, Mr. Wilson consistently has been, and continues to be, a positive force for good.

The Deer Park community has benefited from Mr. Wilson’s many contributions over the years. He makes made Deer Park and the Town of Babylon an even better place to live.
