Amber Marshall | Legislator Tom Donnelly's Honoree | Branch of Service: Air Force

Legislator Tom Donnelly is proud and honored to recognize Ms. Amber Marshall of Deer Park as the 2023 Legislative District 17 Woman Veteran of Distinction.

Ms. Marshall is a lifelong Long Island resident, graduate of North Babylon High School and a proud U.S. Air Force Combat Veteran. She served with the 577th Expeditionary Group in multiple countries during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Inherent Resolve. Ms. Marshall was an Electrician in the Civil Engineering unit.

Since leaving the military, she has received assistance from many Long Island non-profits that assist Veterans and the Northport Veterans Affairs Hospital. Fern Summers of Long Island Cares has been instrumental in helping her find employment throughout the years. She is eternally grateful for all the assistance in re-integrating into civilian life.

Ms. Marshall recently completed a small business course at Hofstra University thanks to a generous scholarship, and has opened a permit expediting business named, Long Island’s Strike Force Permitting Services.
