He also cosponsored a Local Law to increase the penalties for illegal dumping in the county.

As a former Suffolk County Police Officer and Union law enforcement official with over 34 years of service to the community, Thomas Muratore has devoted his career to protecting and serving the people of Suffolk County.  Prior to becoming Vice President for the Suffolk County Police Benevolent Association, a position that he held for 18 years, Tom served as a Patrol Officer and Instructor at the Police Academy.  Tom is currently a member of the Suffolk County Police Columbia Association, and serves as Secretary of the Executive Board.
