(Smithtown, NY)…Suffolk County Legislator Rob Trotta congratulated Christopher Trimble of Boy Scout Troop 75 for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout at his Eagle Scout Court of Honor. Christopher’s involvement with scouting started in 2007 as a Bobcat and culminated in 2018 with obtaining the rank of Eagle. Throughout his scouting career, Christopher earned 25 merit badges, more than required for his Eagle Scout and strengthened his leadership skills while a Patrol Leader and Senior Patrol Leader.
For his community service project, Christopher contacted the Sweetbriar Nature Center in Smithtown and they agreed that he could install 90 meters of wood fencing around one of the exhibit areas. He raised over $1200 with a car wash. Christopher bought the necessary supplies and supervised the delivery of the materials, as well coordinated the installation of the new fence. Christopher’s involvement with this project inspired him to study Engineering Management at NYIT in Old Westbury.
“Scouting has certainly had a positive impact on Christopher’s life and has guided him in studying for a college degree in Engineering Management and a future in where he can help people. I commend him for being a role model for the younger scouts and for wanting to make our community a better place for all of us,” said Suffolk County Legislator Rob Trotta.
