SHOREHAM, NY – On Saturday, May 11th, Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker participated in “Lax Out Cancer” at Shoreham-Wading River High School. Every year, the SWR lacrosse teams host the Lax Out Cancer fundraising games to recognize and raise funds for local children battling cancer. Last year’s event raised over $50,000.
“Every year I am grateful for the Shoreham-Wading River community and its dedication to honoring and supporting our children battling cancer,” said Legislator Anker. “The athletic teams, their coaches, school administrators and volunteers do an incredible job, and I am humbled and inspired by their efforts.”
