Suffolk County Legislator Tom Donnelly recently joined the family, friends and fellow troop members of Huntington Station resident Jacob Levinsky to witness, honor and recognize him for earning the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout, the highest-recognized achievement bestowed by the Boy Scouts of America to its members.
Mr. Levinsky’s Court of Honor was held at the Huntington Community First Aid Squad on May 29 where he received many accolades for his distinction, including a Proclamation from Legislator Donnelly. For his Eagle Scout project Mr. Levinsky created a training video for prospective emergency medical dispatchers. The video incorporates several critical areas of instruction in the Huntington Community First Aid Squad dispatch training manual including answering calls, radio and code communications and data entry.
“I applaud Mr. Levinsky on earning the rank of Eagle Scout and for his excellent, innovative and important project,” said Legislator Donnelly. “He has demonstrated leadership, character and a true commitment to community. I know his family is rightfully very proud of him and it is an honor to join them in recognizing and thanking him for all that he has done, and I know will continue to do, for the community.”
