MIDDLE ISLAND, NY – On Friday, September 27th, Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker attended the Citizens Preparedness Corps Emergency Preparedness Training at the Longwood Public Library which she co-hosted with Senator Ken LaValle, Assemblyman Joseph DeStefano, and County Executive Bellone. The program gave residents of all ages the tools and resources they need to prepare for disasters and respond accordingly. In addition, each family received an Emergency Starter Kit that included a first aid kits, goggles, gloves, and emergency supplies.
“As we begin to enter hurricane season, it is important that all residents are prepared for emergency situations,” said Legislator Anker. “I encourage residents to participate in emergency preparedness training programs to learn how to respond accordingly to a multitude of situations.”
