MOUNT SINAI, NY – On Friday, September 27, 2019, Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker attended Mount Sinai High School’s Teen Distracted Driving Awareness Day. The event was hosted by the high school and the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office to teach students the importance of safe driving and how to eliminate distractions when driving.
“Distracted driving is the leading cause of motor accidents across the country,” said Legislator Anker. “When our children begin to drive, it is crucial that we remind them to put away their phones and focus on the road.”
