KENNEDY HONORS A TRUE HERO AND PATRIOT

20191016_153406

October 15, 2019 – On the fifteenth of October, Legislator Leslie Kennedy along with the Smithtown Conservative Party honored a true local hero and patriot. Donato Panico, owner of Panico’s Community Market in Smithtown was honored for his work on his “Heros 4 Our Heroes” project. Donato, along with his team handed over 600 – 3 foot hero sandwiches to first responders from Long Island and New York City, thanking the people who risk their lives every day to keep citizens safe, Donato keeps this tradition alive each September 11th, dating back to 2001, where he tirelessly aided workers throughout the recovery and clean-up from 9/11.

Donato is a true patriot helping raise funds for our Veterans, ensuring them a Thanksgiving meal and holiday celebration, honoring their sacrifices to ensure our freedoms. Mr. Panico has selflessly given his time to provide for those in need and to recognize the efforts of those who protect us all on a daily basis twenty-four seven.

It was with humble gratitude to recognize a true selfless American Hero, and honor his dedication and service to our Veterans and First Responders.
