Local residents came out in force to meet Suffolk Legislator Tom Donnelly (D-Huntington Station) and receive their free Suffolk County Senior Citizen Identification Cards during Legislator Donnelly’s October Community Outreach “Mobile Office” Program. Held at the Deer Park Library, North Babylon Library and the South Huntington Library, a licensed notary from Legislator Donnelly’s office was also present at each event to notarize documents for free.
The Senior ID cards are required to take advantage of the senior discount fare of 75 cents on the Suffolk County bus and can also be used for other County and local discounts. More outreach programs are being planned for the future, but if you missed these programs, you can get your card right away, as well as receive free notary services, by stopping by Legislator Donnelly’s District Office, 130 West Jericho Turnpike, Huntington Station, weekdays from 9 am – 4 pm. Remember to bring picture identification. For more information, call (631) 854-4433.
“I would like to thank our local libraries for hosting our very successful and well-received October Outreach programs,’” said Legislator Donnelly. “It was great to see so many come out and participate and I hope that community members will continue to contact my office so that we can provide these services, as well as assist with any issues or concerns, to even more residents.”
