Lindenhurst, NY, October 2nd, 2019: On Wednesday, October 2nd, Suffolk County Legislator Kevin McCaffrey joined other government and business officials at the groundbreaking ceremony for The Wel.
Legislator McCaffrey was proud to be on hand for the groundbreaking of The Wel, a 260-Unit apartment complex development project being led by Tritec Real Estate. The Wel will be located on Hoffman Avenue in the Village of Lindenhurst, just east of Legislator McCaffrey’s Wellwood Avenue office.
Joining the Legislator were several officials from the Village of Lindenhurst, including Mayor Mike Lavorata, Deputy Mayor Maryann Weckerle, and Trustees Joan Masterson, Patrick Pichichero, and RJ Renna, as well as officials from Tritec.
As a proponent of the project, Legislator McCaffrey had the opportunity to address the gathering of local government and business officials, where he discussed the role the apartment complex would play in the development of the economy of the Village.
Legislator McCaffrey represents Suffolk County’s 14th Legislative District which encompasses the Village of Lindenhurst, Babylon Village, the hamlets of West Babylon and North Lindenhurst, portions of Copiague, North Babylon and Babylon’s barrier beach communities.
