“Legislator Piccirillo announces program- Health Heroes Thank You Card Drive.”
Legislator Piccirillo announced the Health Heroes Thank You Card Drive on Monday March 30th; a program aimed at showing our healthcare heroes how much we appreciate them. The 8th Legislative District Office will be collecting thank you cards that will be distributed to our local Health Heroes; this will include, Doctors, Nurses, Emergency Service Workers, and anyone on the healthcare front lines. These Health Heroes are putting their own lives on the lines during this pandemic, providing care and comfort to our friends, family and neighbors who are sick. These amazing men and women deserve to be thanked by all of us
“There are many health care workers within the 8th Legislative District that are working long hours under tough conditions” Legislator Piccirillo said. “These amazing heroes who are on the front lines deserve to be thanked during this crisis” added Legislator Piccirillo. The Legislator and his staff are asking for the community to donate both handmade and store bought thank you cards. To donate, please either send your cards by mail to the 8th Legislative District Office; or drop off a card in the box outside the District Office during normal business hours. The 8th Legislative District Office is located at 1609 Grundy Avenue, Holbrook NY 11741.
“I am looking forward to seeing our community come together and participate in this card drive while practicing safe social distancing” the Legislator said. “The constituents who I represent are always willing to help; and I am confident this program will be a great success” stated the Legislator. “Even though a simple thank you does not show how much we truly appreciate these Health Heroes daily heroic efforts during this pandemic; I hope these cards will brighten their day” added Legislator Piccirillo.
