How to Submit Public Testimony Remotely

Although the Suffolk County Legislature building remains closed to the public due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there are still several ways to participate in upcoming meetings remotely.




To weigh in on resolutions and issues being considered by legislators, please choose between the following options to submit your testimony:

For the September 29-October 2, 2020 Committee Week, comments may be submitted by:Sept 29 - Oct 2 Committee Meeting Remote Participation Flyer
 
 

Recording Testimony Over the Phone: Parties can call (631) 853-3685 and leave a three-minute message about topics of concern and specific resolutions being considered by lawmakers. Residents should include their name as well as whether they are addressing a specific committee or speaking about a specific resolution.

Sending Testimony By Email: Comments may be submitted in writing by emailing Clerk.Legislature@suffolkcountyny.gov.

Sending Testimony by Regular Mail: Comments may be mailed to the attention of the Clerk’s Office at the Suffolk County Legislature, William H. Rogers Building, 725 Veterans Memorial Highway, Smithtown, NY 11787.

For the General Meeting of the Suffolk County Legislature on October 6, 2020, comments may be submitted by:10/06/2020 General Meeting Flyer - Let Your Voice Be Heard

Testifying at the 9:30 a.m. Public Portion via Zoom: Members of the public can address legislators on any topic of concern or specific legislation at the October 6th General Meeting at 9:30 a.m. through Zoom. Sign up to receive the meeting invitation by filling out the online form at www.scnylegislature.us/publicportion.

Testifying at a 2 p.m. Public Hearing via Zoom: Members of the public can speak on a particular resolution in public hearing at the October 6th General Meeting at 2 p.m. through Zoom. Sign up to receive the meeting invitation by filling out the online form at www.scnylegislature.us/publichearing.
