Lindenhurst, NY, May 24th, 2020: On Saturday, May 24th, Legislator McCaffrey delivered jars of his favorite jelly beans to health care workers and first responders in the Fourteenth Legislative District.
Legislator McCaffrey spent the bulk of the day on May 24th delivering face masks to seniors, as well as his trademark jelly beans to first responders and frontline health care workers in appreciation of all they have done for us during the COVID-19 pandemic. Pictured are Lindenhurst residents Stephanie and Jennifer Price, who are both members of the NYPD.
Among many others, I was also able to visit with my cousin Mary, who is an RN at a hard hit nursing home, as well as West Babylon Fire District Commissioners Dan McCarthy and John Manzi, and WBFD Ex-Chief Christine Manzi.
If you submitted a local hero to be recognized on the windows of The Legislator’s District Office, you should have received an email about delivery of jelly beans. If not, please email district14thanksyou@gmail.com.
Legislator McCaffrey thanks all the frontline health care workers, first responders and essential workers for all they have done and continue to do as we fight against this pandemic and prepare to reopen.
Legislator McCaffrey represents Suffolk County’s 14th Legislative District which encompasses the Village of Lindenhurst, Babylon Village, the hamlets of West Babylon and North Lindenhurst, portions of Copiague, North Babylon and Babylon’s barrier beach communities.
