SHOREHAM, NY – On Saturday, July 4th, Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker joined the Village of Shoreham at its annual Independence Day celebration. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the day was commemorated with a car parade and speeches which were streamed online for community members to participate remotely.
“The 4th of July is a time to celebrate our country’s independence, and to thank the men and women in our military who fight every day to protect our freedom. I would like to thank the Village of Shoreham for hosting this wonderful celebration each year to remind us of how truly fortunate we are to be American citizens,” said Legislator Anker.
