Suffolk Legislator Tom Donnelly Donates Surplus County Laptop To SeniorNet at Family Service League

Suffolk County Legislator Tom Donnelly (D-Huntington Station) secured and delivered a surplus county laptop for SeniorNet at Family Service League (FSL) for use in the organization’s popular education programs. On hand to accept the donation at the FSL Building in Huntington Station on Thursday, July 2 were FSL President and CEO Karen Boorshtein, SeniorNet at FSL Founder and former Director Slava Vero and SeniorNet at FSL Development Coordinator Ro Oetiker.

Founded in 1986, the award-winning, all-volunteer non-profit SeniorNet established its first location on Long Island in 1999 in Huntington at FSL. SeniorNet’s mission “is to provide seniors with education in and access to computer technology.” The organization offers a broad range of courses serving anyone from beginner to expert.
