Lindenhurst, NY, September 17th, 2020: On Thursday, September 17th, Legislator McCaffrey joined with athletes and parents from the West Babylon and Lindenhurst School Districts to call on Section XI to rethink their suspension of fall sports.
On Thursday, September 17th, Legislator McCaffrey joined with proud athletes and parents of Lindenhurst Bulldogs and West Babylon Eagles to take a stand against the decision by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association and Section XI - Suffolk County Athletics to suspend interscholastic athletics until 2021.
Much like how he stood with our students to let them celebrate graduation last June, Legislator McCaffrey will stand with them again to let our students play! Speakers at the event included Brynne Wassner, Kaylee Lamar, Brooke Santos, Joe Chiarelli, and officials from the Village of Lindenhurst.
Legislator McCaffrey represents Suffolk County’s 14th Legislative District which encompasses the Village of Lindenhurst, Babylon Village, the hamlets of West Babylon and North Lindenhurst, portions of Copiague, North Babylon and Babylon’s barrier beach communities.
