March 20, 2021 – On the twentieth of March, Legislator Leslie Kennedy along with elected officials from Town, County, and State along with representatives from Specialized Autism Support & Information (SASI) attended the ribbon cutting for its new office at 3505 Veterans Memorial Highway in Ronkonkoma, NY. The event marks the expansion of SASI’s location to offer more services for families affected by autism.
SASI was founded by Priscilla Arena, who serves as the Executive Director, “Our mission is to increase the breadth and depth of programs and services for parents, siblings and individuals on the autism spectrum that benefit them in gaining independence and confidence”. Specialized Autism Support & Information aims to enrich the lives of special needs families and to be a central resource to better the lives of their children and their family as a whole. Parent support groups, socialization events, advocacy, and educational resources including community outreach are all offered through their office.
