Legislator Anker Congratulates Troop 1776 Eagle Scouts

MOUNT SINAI, NY – On Saturday, June 12th, a representative from Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker’s office joined boy scouts, troop leaders and scout families and friends to honor Troop 1776’s newest Eagle Scouts: Matthew Kucera, Justin Ammann, and Harrison Gudzik. The ceremony was held at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Rocky Point where a video message from Legislator Anker was shared.

I want to congratulate the newest Eagle Scouts of Troop 1776, Matthew Kucera, Justin Ammann and Harrison Gudzik, said Legislator Anker. Their work for our community has really made a difference through beautifying the Train Car Park in Port Jeff Station, constructing a fire pit for a church, and building animal feeders for Save A Pet USA. Their projects have directly and positively impacted our community.

Eagle Scout is the highest rank that a scout can receive. It requires hard work and dedication for a scout to earn 21 merit badges, complete a community service project and undergo a lengthy review process. Matthew Kucera, Justin Ammann, and Harrison Gudzik all received the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout after completing their community service projects. Matthew beautified and placed ballast at the Train Car Park in Port Jefferson Station, which serves as the home for the Port  Jefferson Station/Terryville Chamber of Commerce. Justin constructed small animal feeders for the organization Save A Pet USA, an animal rescue and adoption center, which will be utilized by the organization to provide feed to the many animals they support and service. Harrison constructed a fire pit for the Life Lutheran Church located in Old Westbury, which will be utilized by the church members for outdoor church services and outdoor church gatherings.
