(Smithtown, NY)…Founded in 1866, St. Johnland Nursing Center continues today to fulfill its mission to create a caring and supportive environment committed to the highest standards of quality health care. St. Johnland is a 250-bed facility providing medical treatment for those with Alzheimer’s/dementia, head injuries, rehabilitation, subacute care, as well as adult day care. It is now expanding its services to operate a new 100-bed assisted living project where individuals can maintain their sense of independence while receiving essential services and amenities. The anticipated opening is the fall of 2022. Legislator Trotta who grew up in the area and lives near St. Johnland said, “I drive past this center all the time and appreciate that St. Johnland is doing this project as it will benefit our residents and the community.”
