Selden, NY – Suffolk County Legislator Nick Caracappa recently attended the Literacy and Citizenship Ceremony held at the Middle Country Public Library. Twenty members of the community, hailing from many countries across the globe completed the course requirements to become United States citizens. Legislator Caracappa presented each with a proclamation to commemorate the event.
“It was an honor and pleasure to participate in this joyous occasion,” stated Caracappa. “The Middle Country Public Library did a fantastic job of recognizing those who completed their Literacy and Citizenship Program. I congratulate my new fellow Americans for their hard work and great achievement. I would also like to thank Director Sophia Serlis-McPhillips and the staff at MCPL for offering this and many other great programs for our community!”
