MOUNT SINAI, NY – On Wednesday, October 4, Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker and the North Shore Neighbors Breast Cancer Coalition hosted a tree lighting ceremony for the Pink Tree of Hope at Heritage Park. The tree will be illuminated with pink lights throughout the month of October for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
“Having lost my grandmother from breast cancer, I am honored to partner with the North Shore Neighbors Breast Cancer Coalition to raise awareness about the prevalence of breast cancer, honor our loved ones lost to breast cancer, and support survivors across Long Island,” said Legislator Anker. “I thank Patti Kozlowski and the North Shore Neighbors for their important work to help breast cancer patients, survivors, and their families in our local communities. I would also like to thank Koch Tree Services for their generous sponsorship.”
To see the Pink Tree for Hope, please visit Heritage Park. The tree will be illuminated during the evening hours throughout the month of October. For more information, please call Legislator Anker’s office at 631-854-1600.
