Legislator Anthony Piccirillo wrapped up his Winter Coat Drive this week and called it a tremendous success. The 2nd Annual Winter Coat Drive hosted by Legislator Piccirillo who represents the 8th Legislative District in Suffolk County, brought in a record number of coats this year. The office collected hundreds of lightly used and new coats throughout the winter season. The coats that were donated to our coat drive were donated to local families in our community, the Suffolk County Department of Social Services, Churches and local community groups. The office also partnered with local churches and community groups this winter to get these coats in the hands of people who needed them.
“I would like to thank everyone who donated to our Winter Coat Drive as always our community goes above and beyond every time we ask them” said Legislator Piccirillo. The 8th Legislative District has held multiple community outreach programs throughout 2021, all of which were tremendously successful. “I would like to especially thank the constituents of the 8th Legislative District for their generous donations this winter season” Legislator Piccirillo said.” Thank you for helping keeping people in our community warm this winter” Legislator Piccirillo added.
Although the winter coat drive has wrapped up for the season, we will still be collecting coats throughout the year for those who are in need.
