Legislator Steven J. Flotteron recognized the 100th Eagle Scout with Troop 205, Robert Martin Camlet, of East Islip in a ceremony held at Timber Point Elementary School. Robert earned his Eagle Scout ranking by completing his service project of planning, constructing and replanting the 9/11 Memorial along with the East Garden in front of the John F. Kennedy Elementary School in East Islip.
He is a graduate of East Islip High School, where he held high honors throughout all four years. He is currently a freshmen in the Honors Program at Suffolk County Community College, completing his core requirements and next year will be applying to four-year colleges to complete his bachelor’s degree.
