(Smithtown, NY)…Recently, Suffolk County Legislator Rob Trotta attended an Eagle Scout Court of Honor for Michael Hankey. Michael attained the rank of Eagle Scout by completing all of the scouting requirements and his community service project. Becoming an Eagle Scout signifies a life lived in unison with the Scout Oath and Law.
According to Legislator Trotta, “Michael personified the words “Eagle Scout” when he built public benches along the track at RJO Intermediate School, in Kings Park. The world needs more people like Michael, who see a need and act to fix it. I am confident that all that Michael has learned throughout his time as a scout will guide him as he goes to college and pursues a career. Not only is attaining the rank of Eagle Scout revered, it demands respect from us all. We wish him luck with his future endeavors as he no doubt strives for the highest achievements in life."
