Tommasino Paul Freda and Joshua Roy Heino are part of Troop 483 and earned the rank of Eagle Scout for their efforts in serving the community and development as a scout. Throughout their projects, they demonstrated civic mindedness, commitment to service, and unique skillsets. Both projects invited partnership from various businesses and individuals, and helped to improve the community in positive ways.
Also, the Summit Court of Honor was awarded to Holly Anderson and Vera Maria Rodriguez. Because Venturing is a program for youth, Venturers are able to do more and go further as a member of a Venturing crew than in other Scouting programs, which allow girls to become members of Boy Scouts. Both worked with St. Rosalie's Catholic Church on their project to help improve the community and help people in need.
Legislator Fleming is proud to see young people engaged in the community to help make our world a better place.
