Legislator Nick Caracappa of the Fourth Legislative District in Suffolk County has been very busy running around (literally) all over Long Island. On May 28th, 2022 Legislator Caracappa participated in the 4K “I Did the Grid Run/Walk” in East Northport to honor Clp. Christopher G. Sherer who gave the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the Armed Forces of the United States. Up next was The U.S. Army 247th Birthday 5K run/walk and Oath of Enlistment Ceremony was held on June 18th and Legislator Caracappa was there, with plenty of inspiration, encouragement and plenty of energy to run. On June 25th 2022 Once again, Legislator Caracappa tied up his laces and hit that pavement for The “Lt. Michael Murphy Run Around the Lake.” The 4K run around Lake Ronkonkoma is held annually to honor Lt. Navy Seal Michael Murphy who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country. “The 4K Run Around The Lake” and “The 4K I Did The Grid” are part of the “Suffolk County Veteran’s Run Series” that is culminating with The Catholic Health Suffolk County Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K and 5K to Support our Veterans being held October 22nd and 23rd. “I am not a runner, but I do it for the love I have for our great country and appreciation for all who have served as well as those that are currently serving and those that will be serving within this Nation’s Military and for the sacrifices their families have endured.” Stated Legislator Caraccapa. Up next is Sag Harbor, for Jordan’s Run! The Veterans’ Memorial 5K Run/Walk to honor fallen Marine LCpl Jordan C. Haeter.
