Suffolk County Legislator Manuel Esteban Sr, Esq. had the pleasure of hosting a tour and informative discussion at the Suffolk County Legislature for members of Touro Law’s Catholic Law Society, which he was President of when he attended Touro Law Center.
After touring the Legislature and learning about the functions of the Presiding Officer’s Office, Clerk’s Office, and the Counsel to the Legislature, they had the opportunity to watch the full Legislature in session. Christopher Spinosa, Vice President of the Catholic Law Society had the opportunity to speak during the Public Portion, and thanked Legislator Esteban, Presiding Officer McCaffrey and staff of the Legislature for their hospitality.
“I was given the same opportunity a few years back to tour the Legislature, and it left a positive impression that planted the seed that I wanted to run for office and help the residents of Suffolk County,” said Legislator Esteban. “You just never know what path your career may go down, and I hope we have inspired these bright students too.”
