HAUPPAUGE, NY—Suffolk County Legislator Manuel Esteban Sr, Esq. recently introduced legislation designating July 1st as “Muslim-American Appreciation Day” in Suffolk County. The resolution passed unanimously with bi-partisan support at the Legislature’s General Meeting held Tuesday, December 6th.
“It is truly an honor to bring this resolution before the Legislature, “said Esteban. “Suffolk County is a rich diversified region, and to recognize the Muslim-American community and their contributions promotes unity among all residents.”
Suffolk County is enriched by the diversity of its residents, and takes great pride in recognizing July1st as Muslim-American Appreciation Day in honor of the rich history, cultural traditions, and significant contributions that Muslim Americans have brought to the Suffolk County community.
