Huntington Station: On April 12, at Walt Whitman High School, Legislator Stephanie Bontempi (R-18th L.D.) participated in a breakfast meeting with students to discuss the importance of voting and civic participation. Bontempi encouraged the youths to take advantage of internships in government as an entryway to becoming more involved with the community.
“We hear that tomorrow’s future depends on today’s youth,” said Bontempi. “Instead of simply repeating clichés, we need to be true mentors to our young adults, providing a clear path with guidance and opportunities.”
