Legislator Esteban recently hosted a Food Drive for Manna Ministry at Stop & Shop located in East Northport last Saturday, April 1st. The rain couldn’t dampen the spirit of shoppers that day to help those in need. We had 4 wonderful volunteers that went over and beyond to engage the shoppers about our mission. They greeted each shopper with a smile and the two sisters even started singing “It’s Raining, It’s Pouring” song for all shoppers to witness. They loved it!
Manna Ministry is an outreach program of Fountainhead Congregation in East Northport. Their desire is to help families and individuals struggling to feed themselves when the society-based programs are unable to meet all their nutritional needs.
If you are interested in volunteering, please see contact information I have provided below. Volunteers can help with packing and distributing boxes, sorting food items, stocking shelves, and cleanup after giveaways. They encourage the help of students and will provide a signature for your volunteer and community service hours.

Legislator Esteban said, “I am humbled by the kindness of people who came out in the pouring rain today to give back to families that are struggling to keep food on the table for their families.” Legislator Esteban added, “It is important to remember the difficulties some individuals and families face in this time of rising inflation, high cost of housing, and low wages. Today we stand united as a community and our donations will forever make a difference in someone’s life.”
