Hauppauge: On July 25, Legislator Stephanie Bontempi (R – 18th L.D.) recognized Trisha Northover as this year’s Women Veterans Appreciation Day honoree for the 18th District. Trisha served with great pride in the United States Army as a combat medic, and she completed one deployment to Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom back in 2011.
“When I learned about Trisha’s accomplishments as a soldier and her dedication to helping her fellow veterans, I knew she had to be this year’s honoree,” said Bontempi. “Trisha served our country with distinction, and to this day she is making a difference in many lives.”
In addition to being the Commander of American Legion Post 1244 in Greenlawn, Trisha works as a licensed practical nurse at the Long Island State Veterans Home in Stony Brook.
