Suffolk County Legislator Manuel Esteban Sr. recently hosted a Food Drive and collected 326 pounds of food for Manna Ministry at Stop & Shop located in East Northport. He was joined by his staff and volunteers. Manna Ministry is an outreach program of Fountainhead Congregation in East Northport. Their desire is to help families and individuals struggling to feed themselves when the society-based programs are unable to meet all their nutritional needs.
Legislator Esteban said, “More so now than ever, our community needs to come together to realize that hunger is a reality in every town, not only in our most challenged communities.” Legislator Esteban Sr. added, “With Thanksgiving right around the corner, I was humbled to see how many shoppers took time to donate to help community members struggling to put food on their tables to feed their families." He added, "These donations we received will forever make a lasting impression in someone’s life.”

Volunteers can help with packing and distributing boxes, sorting food items, stocking shelves, and cleanup after giveaways. They encourage the help of students and will provide a signature for your volunteer and community service hours.
