Huntington Station: On Thursday, January 4, Legislator Stephanie Bontempi (R – 18th L.D.) presented Rev. Kim Gambino of Helping Hand Rescue Mission with donated pet supplies to be distributed to families in need.
The items were generously donated by local officials and their staff during a Holiday Open House at Legislator Bontempi’s District Office on December 20.
While visiting Helping Hand Rescue Mission, Rev. Gambino provided an update on their Helping Hand Rescue Mission Community Kitchen project. Upon completion, this project will provide a home-like space to prepare nutritious meals to serve families and individuals in need.
Looking ahead to February, Legislator Bontempi is excited to once again collaborate with Helping Hand Rescue Mission on their upcoming “Souper” Bowl Drive. The office of Legislator Bontempi will be collecting donations of canned soup until February 2. If you would like to contribute, you can drop off your donations at the office located at 224 Wall Street, Suite 303 in Huntington. The office is open from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday.
