December 8, 2017 – Legislator Leslie Kennedy joined Suffolk
County Comptroller John Kennedy and Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter in recognizing
Deputy Inspector Joseph Busweiler for his service to the Suffolk County Police
Department. After 24 years of distinguished service, Deputy Inspector Joseph
Busweiler retired from the Suffolk County Police Department. Adding to his
accolades as part of the Suffolk County Police Department, Joseph Busweiler served
our country during Operation Enduring Freedom, where he was deployed as a Staff
Sergeant in the Marine Corp.
“Joseph Busweiler is a great man,
and an amazing public servant. He has accomplished so many great things in this
County, and worked to keep us all safe.” said Legislator Leslie Kennedy “He
will be greatly missed, but I hope he enjoys his retirement with his family.”
