December 18, 2017 – Legislator Leslie Kennedy
(R-Nesconset) in conjunction with Councilman Kevin LaValle (R-Selden) and Lake
Grove Mayor Robert Scottaline (D-Lake Grove) hosted her ninth blood drive of
the year. New York Blood Center provided phlebotomy services, and made sure all
donors were treated respectfully and served in an orderly fashion. As always two
free Mets tickets were provided to each donor.
Kennedy was able to collect 36
pints of blood throughout the day. “I am so proud of all the donors in our community
who came out to donate lifesaving blood,” said Legislator Kennedy. “There are
so many generous people in our community, especially during Christmas time, and
I want to thank all the donors who came out to donate, as well as New York
Blood Services, Councilman Kevin LaValle, and Mayor Robert Scottaline.”
Legislator Kennedy’s final blood drive of the year
will be held at the Suffolk County Legislature on December 26th. In
order to donate you must bring a valid ID, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds, have
gotten no tattoos for the last 12 months, and be sure to eat well and drink
fluids before donating. All are encouraged to attend and donate.
