(Smithtown, NY)…Songs in the Attic, a Billy Joel Tribute Band, opened the Smithtown Library’s Summer Concert Series which is held every Thursday at 8pm on the lawn of the main library in Smithtown through August 17. Each Thursday a local resident sings the National Anthem. “The concerts are free and this is a great opportunity for families to relax, hear some great music and support our local businesses,” said Suffolk Legislator Rob Trotta. “At the July 27 concert, we will be collecting unwanted musical instruments for the non- profit, Hungry for Music, or residents can drop them off at my office at 59 Landing Avenue, Suite 1, Smithtown before that date,” added Legislator Trotta.
