July 10, 2017 – With the start of the Nesconset Summer concert series,
summer is officially here. Every year the residents of Nesconset and the
surrounding communities look forward to this concert series, and 45 RPM did not
disappoint. To mark the beginning of the concert series, the 4th Precinct
Police Explorers presented the Colors as the Color Guard. Kicking things off Julia
Greasing, of Smithtown High School West, sang the National Anthem exquisitely.
45 RPM brought Nesconset back to the 1970’s, before everyone had
iTunes, and the only portable device was your AM/FM radio. They played the
songs that are often overlooked, but deeply woven into the fabric of our
American Culture. The crowd was happy to hear them play, it was a fantastic
show to kick off the season!
“45 RPM performed a phenomenal show to kick off the summer series,” said
Legislator Leslie Kennedy, “All things came together for a perfect evening. I
want to thank the Nesconset Chamber of Commerce for ensuring that all things
ran smoothly, as well as Julia Greasing for singing the National Anthem
beautifully.”
