Rocky Point Historical Society Hosts 22nd Annual Tea

Rocky Point Tea

ROCKY POINT, NY – Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker joined the Rocky Point Historical Society for their 22nd Annual Tea on Sunday, October 14th, at VFW Post 6249 in Rocky Point. The annual tea brought together historical society members and local residents for a special program that included a variety of teas, sandwiches and desserts, raffle prizes, and a special documentary screening of “Invisible Threads” by award-winning filmmaker Joe Sikorski. “Invisible Threads” tells the story of the mysterious German-operated Telefunken Radio Station in Sayville during World War I.

“I commend the Rocky Point Historical Society for their dedication to promoting our local heritage,” said Legislator Anker. “Rocky Point has great historical value and the members of the society work hard to ensure that our local landmarks are preserved and historic figures are honored for their contributions. It is always a pleasure to attend the annual tea to support the historical society.”

The Rocky Point Historical Society seeks to promote and encourage local history. For more information visit their website at http://www.rockypointhistoricalsociety.org.
