Suffolk Legislator Tom Donnelly (D-Deer Park) recently joined Babylon Town Supervisor Rich Schaffer, former Judge John Kelly and other Babylon and County elected officials at the Deer Park Community Association’s first meeting of 2019, held January 16 at the Deer Park School District Administration Building, The non-profit “strives to enhance the quality of life in Deer Park for all residents through non-political means by reaching its goals of combating deterioration, revitalizing the town and restoring a sense of community.”
New officers sworn in at the meeting by Supervisor Schaffer were: Gina Lieneck- President, Carol Quirk - Treasurer, Rosemarie Todaro - Vice President, John Cestaro, - Secretary, Paul Soodoo - At-Large Member-Community Outreach and Valerie St. Bernard - At-Large Member-Event Coordinator. Legislator Donnelly spoke before the group to provide an update on County programs and initiatives and also engaged in conversations about community priorities.
“I congratulate the new officers of the Deer Park Community Association and thank them for dedicating their time to the residents of Deer Park,” said Legislator Donnelly. “The revitalization of Deer Park Avenue is one of my top priorities, and I look forward to working with the Association on this important issue.”
