Suffolk Legislator Tom Donnelly recently joined Babylon Deputy Supervisor Tony Martinez and members of the Deer Park Chamber of Commerce at the organization’s first meeting of 2019, held Tuesday, January 29 at the Knights of Columbus hall in Deer Park. Founded in 2015, the chamber seeks to promote business in Deer Park.
The main topic of the evening was the revitalization of Deer Park Avenue, an issue important to many chamber members and residents of Deer Park. Deputy Supervisor Martinez and Legislator Donnelly, himself a lifelong resident of Deer Park, spoke with the chamber about the appropriate steps to take in applying for grants and ultimately submitting a plan to the Town of Babylon.
“I was glad to join the Deer Park Chamber of Commerce to participate in discussions about an initiative that I know is important to all residents in my hometown,” said Legislator Donnelly. “The revitalization of Deer Park Avenue is one of my top priorities, and I look forward to working with the chamber and the Town of Babylon on this significant project.”
